If you are looking to build a bigger back as a man over 40, this video is for you. This is also going to be a follow along video, utilizing my TriCon Training technique to help you build your back. Tricon Training consists of a total of 9 reps. The first 3 reps are EXPLOSIVE REPS, the second 3 reps are 5 SECOND ISOMETRIC HOLDS, and the last 3 reps are SUPER SLOW AND CONTROLLED. Your back is going to be on fire after each exercise, so get ready! Let’s get started with the exercises in this follow along back workout for men over 40, utilizing tricon training.

Exercise #1: LAT PULLDOWNS. Really focus on squeezing your shoulder blades together at the bottom of the movement. That is where you are going to get a good contraction, and get a good burn in your back.

Exercise #2: CABLE ROW. Focus on keeping your back straight for the whole movement. Drive your elbows back behind you, and squeeze your shoulder blades together and contract at the bottom of the movement.

Exercise #3: DUMBBELL LAT PULLOVER. Use a single dumbbell, and focus on reaching far back to get a big stretch in your lats. Do this on a flat bench to allow for a deeper stretch.

Exercise #4: CABLE UPRIGHT ROW. Start with the handle closer to the ground then drive your elbows up and behind your back. You should be pulling the handles to the middle part of your stomach, and squeeze your back to get a good contraction.
