Have You Tried Liver & Onions?

Liver, and other organ meats, are a fantastic addition to your diet, for getting more nutrients into your body.

A lot of diets and eating plans call for you to eat muscle meats, like chicken breasts, and lean cuts of steak.

However, organ meats like calf liver include high percentages of nutrients you will not get from regular muscle meat, as well as being high in protein.

If you haven’t tried liver and onions before, I would highly recommend you give it a shot.

It may well become a ‘Go-To’ meal for you.

It’ really delicious and now I know how powerful it is in my diet. Thank you!

Excellent @Felippe – Happy to hear that you enjoy it. It’s a great alternative to muscle meats, for a good meal a few times per month. Enjoy!

      And, you lost me.

One of my all time favorites and liver is still cheap compared to the prices of other meats right now ! I tried Liver & Onions at the 4&20 Resturant in N.Hollywood ,CA in “1986” and fell in love with it I’m 57 now 21 back then I eat it at least a few times a month ! Only thing I do different cooking it is a little Garlic Powder with The Salt & Pepper, and I have to have a little Brown Beef Gravy drizzled over the Top of Mine !!! Delicious 😋 try it if you never had it ,quick and easy ! Sometimes I eat it on top of a small bowl of egg noodles ! 👌🏼💯❗️

That’s great @John O’Master – I really like the idea of a little Garlic powder. I will definitely give that a try next time. I appreciate the advice. Beef gravy also sounds like a treat!

Is liver and onions like All Bran cereal in that it looks like it’s going to taste one way, and then when you actually bite into it, it tastes good?

      • Fit Father Project - Fitness For Busy Fathers

Hahaha @Rick Tyler – I understand your point. Yes, Liver has a unique taste and personally I find it delicious. It’s likely not to everyones taste, but I would highly recommend at least giving it a try if you never have.

What about organs from other animals instead of just cows?

      • Fit Father Project - Fitness For Busy Fathers

100% worth using organ meat from other animals too. Very nutritious and great as an alternative.

      • Anthony Carpenter

@Fit Father Project – Fitness For Busy Fathers thanks it’s easier to find chicken organs where I live than it is to find beef organs

    • J Dubs

I used to eat that all the time as a kid. We raised beef cattle so we always had liver and onions. Thank you for sharing.

So the hype around the Liver King: he’s really onto something and not just some niche fad in the market?…

    • Chris Minton

Have always loved liver and onions.
