Great video. Thank you for reminding me that I wanted to incorporate cardio a bit more with my elliptical trainer at home. Also I need to check out our Facebook group more often 🤪
I’m glad to hear that this video provided a reminder to improve upon your cardiovascular health. And YES, we would love to hear more about your experiences in the Jacked After 40 Club more often 😁
Stefan, we miss you there 🙂
Awesome. I love the focus on health and FUN. That’s what always kept me away from cardio in the past. I always hated it. It was a chore.
I’m a big fan of dog walks as well. That morning sunshine seems to improve energy during the day and sleep quality at night, too.
I think that’s what stops most people from doing cardio. They associate it with the few activities that they don’t enjoy. But there are so many activities we can choose from. And amen to dog walks and sunrises. Thank you so very much for continuing to share your insights and experiences. I appreciate sharing this journey with you.
My dog is getting so old that walking him is a really slow process. However, I do get a decent arm workout when I have to carry him back 🙂
@Jeff Chan I hear ya, man. My dog is 16 now, I think. It’s more a leisurely stroll. But we still get some morning/evening sun together.
Chief will be 11 next month and still has the energy of a pup. It’s going to be weird when he slows down, but it will be a great opportunity for me to slow down and really soak up the slow walk even more so. Thanks for sharing those experiences guys 🙏

MY favorite is the treadmill, the bike, the stair stepper. The good days when my cardiovascular was better than it is now. But will get it back eventually.💪
Outstanding! Keep working at it my brother!
Woah, so many views, this has been up for only 1 hr!
I always hope for more 😁
Oh, I don’t know why I forgot to write this in the poll. I like to do heavy bag work (boxing) or 3 min shadow boxing.
It’s interesting to hear you don’t count steps or think about calories. I stopped counting ~1 month ago. I have to say it’s really nice and makes going on walks more enjoyable. I get to soak things in more.
heavy bag work and shadow boxing is a blast! Jump rope is awesome too!!! Ya man, I think that focusing on step count, calories, and worrying about how long or how far you’ve gone can take the fun out of the experience itself. It’s all about the adventure.
Are you not publishing via podcasts? I noticed you publish daily on YouTube but have not on podcast since February of last year.
Thanks for noticing. I really do need to start publishing on the podcast again. I appreciate the reminder and encouragement.
Cardio is under rated now days; everybody wants to be a gym rat and starve themselves😂
I hear you man. The benefits of cardio are tremendous and I hope more people begin to embrace it. Even more so, I hope fewer people bash it like they’ve been doing for the past decade.
MY breathing has definitely taken a nosedive, effecting my running. I SO miss running. That’s how I kept the extra weight off for years, even at work. Taking small steps to improve everything again.💪
Baby steps my man. Keep making the most out of what you have. You got this!
I mix it up: 30 min on treadmill 12-14 incline @ 3-4 speed. Fast and effective. I do cycling video from some guy named Adrian on YouTube 30(super intense). Last is Stairs 30 min @ 5 speed. That’s in addition to the lifting.
Outstanding brother 👊
I love high impact aerobic training and kickboxing for cardio I used to run but I was doing 4 to 5 times a week and my knees stopped recovering well.
I would love to do some jogging again though I do miss it.
That’s fun cardio for sure. And yeah, that’s the toughest part about running… the impact on the joints can take its toll. Thanks for sharing your experiences. I appreciate it.
I just ran my first 5k today and finished around 33 minutes!! Level up! 💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼
Way to go brother. What a great start. Keep me posted on how you progress
