Most of us cave into food temptations from time to time and there’s always a lesson you can learn to help you prevent a similar outcome in the future.
In today’s video I share a recent experience where I gave into a food temptation and how I’ve grown from this opportunity. I’m looking forward to hearing if you can relate to what I just went through and how you’ve learned to better handle a situation where you are faced with tempting foods.

Most definitely! Food temptations do me in every time.😂 But because of my struggle with portions, it’s a gut buster. Gotta learn to control it.👍
It takes practice. Keep up the effort my man.
Hey Scott, I can surely relate. After taking up a new job in my company on July 11th I moved during working hours from home office to the office. The colleagues put loads of free sweets into the kitchen, every counter top, onto desks etc. terrible. It’s really difficult not to grab something as I’m on a diet and feel the hunger sometimes arise. I’ve gotten weak a few times but I always try to manage not to exceed my planned calories.
Those are difficult situations to be in. It’s great to hear that you’ve been managing the challenge well. It’ll get easier to turn it down.
#nodaysoff and that including the diet!
Nice 💪 I personally take a flexible approach to my diet. A little time off doesn’t do any harm and just reinforces my lifestyle
You’re right about the whole lifestyle habits! I appreciate you always showing the human side, thank you for always being so honest.
Thanks a million for the positive feedback. I think it’s important to keep things raw and real. We all face similar challenges and sharing our experiences helps us learn and grow together 💪
Cap’n Crunch was also my favorite. I can’t eat that one anymore.😔 Maybe that’s a good thing. Great video!👍
It’s definitely a good thing that you can’t eat it any more. I did just fine the past 4 years without it. Thanks for the positive feedback as always brother.
Great share scott 👍
One of my issues is trying to avoid eating the kids food that is in the house !
That’s definitely a challenge my brother. That’s why it’s so important for us to look within and recognize what best for us. Over time, it gets much easier to avoid those temptations, but we can’t win every time 😉
Me: telling my wife at a restaurant, that I was feeling very full but that it would be a waste of money not finish. Her response: You already spent the money; you wasted the money as soon as you overbought – eating it will not result in a refund and not eliminate the “waist” ….
You have a VERY intelligent wife. I LOVE her response. Thank you so much for sharing that with me 🙏
Wow – that justification of excess is so relatable for me.
It’s so crazy how we are wired like this when it comes to highly processed foods.
Hay
hey
I found a secret snack
Peanut flour with some nuts flax and milk cinnamon
sounds good
Hay another tip I’m doing mike mentzer one set to failure ( not quite one set more like 5 will explain later ) I’m getting gains week after week after 2 year plateau
It’s a solid approach
@Lose Fat Get Jacked it’s amazing as I got a spotter now and that helps brake barriers like press bench
I really needed this video right now, I struggle with this too and I’m trying to get better. I normally don’t comment on videos but I just wanted to say thank you for making this 🙂
I’m so glad to hear that the video resonated with you 🙏 You’re definitely not alone. The struggle is real. Never stop trying to overcome it. Thank you so much for the positive feedback
lol I definitely do the same exact thing, just to get it out of the way lol I thought I was the only person crazy enough to think that way!
You’re DEFINITELY not alone. It’s way more common than you may realize. It’s crazy how our minds are wired like this. Thanks for sharing your experience
So relatable! I don’t really have a solution because I still love food way too much but I’m glad I’m not alone 😂
Food is so good! Just try to reduce the temptations the best we can and try to eat to satisfaction, which is when we gain the most pleasure from food, not when we stuff ourselves
Thanks for sharing, totally relatable! I know myself I’ll start letting myself buy and keep “treats” at home and for months, could be three or six months or longer, it’s all good, I can eat one here and there. Then, one day, usually some stressor happens and I I’ll go to town on my stockpile of treats and end up having 4,000 cals of packaged snack foods, which like you, I’d really much rather have something fancier from a bakery or such. It’s one thing to have 200 or 300 calories of packaged snack foods but 1,000+ cals is a total waste, for me, in terms of not really enjoying it. Then, sometimes that will set off a couple days of “eff-it” mentality and really can start doing some dietary damage in that situation.
Greatly slowing down my eating at every meal and snack I find helps as rapid eating I find to be a tell tale sign that there is some sort of compulsive eating going on.
Thanks for sharing your personal experiences. Your ability to abstain and some of the triggers that cause you to cave into the temptations. So glad to hear that you found the video relatable. I appreciate you.
